John Wilcox’s story doesn’t begin in a boardroom — it begins in Carlsbad, California, watching his father, a residential homebuilder, lose everything when variable construction loan rates climbed toward 20% in 1979. That defining moment instilled in John a lifelong discipline around financial risk, capital preservation, and the kind of resilience that can’t be taught in any classroom.

Determined to forge his own path, John put himself through college, earning a double major in Biomedical Engineering and Managerial Economics with a special emphasis in Macroeconomics. He went on to earn his medical degree from USC and completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology, followed by a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology — building both the analytical rigor of an engineer and the human instincts of a physician.

In 1996, John joined HRC Fertility. By 2002, he was Managing Partner. Over the next 15 years, he grew the practice 20x, culminating in a landmark sale to Warburg Pincus in 2017 and a successful IPO in 2019. He continues to serve as Chairman today — a testament to the trust and vision he brings to every organization he leads.

But John’s entrepreneurial reach extends well beyond medicine. He is the owner of US Air Tools, a distributor of aircraft parts, and has spent more than two decades quietly building an impressive commercial real estate portfolio spanning residential, office, industrial, and multifamily assets — now valued at nearly $200 million collectively.

Most recently, John has turned his focus to multifamily syndication in the Midwest, where his team has already deployed over $80 million in syndicated assets. His strategy is straightforward and investor-first: minimize capital risk, reduce tax drag, maximize long-term returns, and — once initial equity is returned — hold assets for the long haul to continue generating value for partners.

With plans to scale his syndication portfolio to over $1 billion in the next decade, John is now channeling the same discipline that built HRC Fertility into a platform designed to create lasting wealth for investors who share his long-term vision.
